The screenshot above shows a presentation, which was produced by Fraunhofer IAO, to facilitate the knowledge transfer in the wood building industry within Germany. It is a typical example for an eLearning application.

Stay in sync
This new release now merges the presenter and his presentation into a single video. Before these have been two independent video, which potentially could get out of sync, when played back. With a single video, this cannot happen anymore. Also the distribution of the presentation has become much simpler. It even can be hosted now on the popular Youtube platform.

Archive your Powerpoint presentations on the web or on CD with the Auvidea ePresenta2. With this authoring system you can easily produce presentations, which you can write on CD-R or DVD-R, which you can publish on the corporate Intranet or Internet, or which you can broadcast live over those networks. Its unique feature is the steep learning curve and the ease of use.

Flexible templates: all aspects of the rich media presentation may be customized. This includes the size of the two video sources: the presenter and his presentation. On the right you see a typical template with a large placeholder for the presenter video (here: 384x288 pixels) and a small presentation video of 640x480 pixels. The total size of the browser window is 1065x647 pixels, so it can be viewed on most computer displays (WXGA or larger). Other templates support smaller or larger display sizes. Just pick the one, which is best for your audience. Some templates support a XGA-size presentation window (1024x768), so that the viewer sees the presentation in its original size.

ePresenta2 Pro: the Pro version adds support for dynamic presentations. Here the powerpoint slides are not converted to GIF or JPEG images, but are rather captured in full resolution and full motion from the presenter's computer. Any notebook is supported, independent of whether it is Windows, Mac OS, Linux or Unix based. No software is added to the notebook. No presentation files must be retrieved before the presentation starts. Just connect the VGA output of the notebook PC, which normally connects to the LCD projector, to the Auvidea ePresenta system and its integrated RGB capture card.

ePresenta2 Lite: the Lite version is ideal for somebody, who would like to produce little rich media presentations to be published on Youtube or a similar portal. Some features are limited. It directly captures fully animated powerpoint presentations from the ppt file. Capturing the RGB output of a presenters PC is only supported in the Pro version. This version is available for free. HP and Dell have shown, that webcasting can save large amounts of money when employed in corporate communications. Dell has saved more than $1 million in only 10 months. But do not be afraid. Webcasting does not necessarily demand huge budgets.
